Reaction is fragmentation in (and “as”) time and most of our lives are, unfortunately, merely a sequence of robotic reaction after reaction… which is time.
To perceive without depending upon what was intentionally poured into you — to mold you — doesn’t take time.
Fears can decimate the brain; go beyond the fears that you are.
Beyond the smoke and mirrors of lying politicians — who are bought and paid for by the polluted and foggy fossil fuel industry — lies clarity.
The UPPERCASE LETTERS were prejudiced against the lower case letters, so they sentenced them to a life of extreme poverty.
An inattentive, fragmented mind easily comes up with violent and disorderly ways.
She, for entertainment, often traveled from country to country… but in reality, she never actually moved anywhere (especially from her illusions, loneliness, and sorrow).
A constantly clamoring mind is a broken mind without the pristine silence of wholeness.

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Thanks so much, Sara! 😊 I smiled at your nice usage of “S/he” for representing nature. It doesn’t have to be anthropomorphic though; we’re so used to labeling the sacred and aspects of nature in anthropomorphic terms.

And I’m resonating with your sequence of these two realisms:

I recognize my lower-case status (insignificant) in the eyes of politicians clearly seeing themselves as UPPER-case superiors … In many ways, I’m grateful to be lower-case!
Thanks very much, Jazz, and, yes, we are so very lucky to be so-called lower-case! 😁 The UPPER-CASE politicians and bureaucrats are (largely) all puppets of the Ultra-rich, and it’s ugly for nature and for the health of the world at large. I’m glad to be lower-case!
Tom, I love the images. Often I enjoy your thoughts. What always bothers me is generalizations like “most of our lives are, … a sequence of robotic reaction after reaction…” I get your point however, it feels very sermon-like, and when you add words like “unfortunately” and your too often used “merely” it comes off as extremely judgmental. I’m sorry. If you want to drop me from your “friends” I understand. It’s just I believe honest communication improves all of us. Lindy
Oh, Lindy, i wouldn’t think of dropping you from my friends. 😊And it may well be quite judgmental, but i feel that it accurately depicts the way things actually are. I am not going to sugar-coat things and write something that is not pointing to the direct issues. I said “most of our lives are a sequence of robotic reaction after reaction”… not “all of our lives.” I really see that most peoples’ lives are primarily cause and effect-oriented and largely robotic and mechanical. Sure, there are all kinds of exceptions, but keeping my blogs short precludes going into a lot of details (that would tend to obscure the main points). I realize that i use “merely” a lot; it is very accurate in a society that is largely based on much disorder (even where we think order is existent). And yes, my stuff is rather sermon-like; I’m not doing this to pass around beautiful, little psychological flowers. That would be silly.
I am sure my brain is decimated by now as I am a worrier and the older I am, the more I worry. I am a weather-worrier and I don’t recall a year I’ve had so much angst over Mother Nature’s antics. The 60 mph winds Saturday are already worrying me … the fear that the weather will destroy my home has become a constant and then this is COVID, et al … I won’t even go there. This is a beautiful butterfly that you have captured here Tom. You can see the powder on its wings! I have only seen one of this type of butterfly and I had the image up on my computer screen, then looked high and low on butterfly sites to find its name … blue is the hue in my opinion and when I finally learned it was a Red-Spotted Purple butterfly, I was left scratching my head for sure.
We are getting a lot of rain now, and we are supposed to get very heavy rains (and maybe even tornados) overnight. Yes, 60 mile an hour winds are not natural. But things will be getting even (much) worse in the future. And there are still tons of people out there that are mindlessly influenced by corrupt political parties that have their pockets stuffed with $ from the fossil fuel industries. I’m so glad that we didn’t have kids! And one political party is letting its members die from Covid (so that they can raise their middle finger at another political party); it’s utter madness!
Thanks about the butterfly, Linda. Fortunately, these are pretty common here around the river… although these days there are far fewer of all butterflies. You could have saved yourself a lot of trouble by noticing my caption under the photo. They sure are a most beautiful, wonderful species. And they are pretty sociable, letting you get right up close for good shots! 🦋😁
I hope you and your home stay safe through the crappy weather. You don’t live in a mobile home, do you?
