Once we looked at the tiniest little thing
it looked up with caring innocent eyes
its heart was bigger than what all words mean
Once perception was more than me
looking was deeper than distance and time
living was beyond becoming or be

Lovely photo with such tiny, and lovely, beings.
Thanks much, Rich! π Those little critters are getting the pollination done!
Ah Beautiful and soothing, both poem and photo. π
Many thanks, Scifi! π We finally got some rain! I have some aquarium plants coming in — cultivated in the U.S. — that are originally from South Africa… Sagittaria subulata (i.e., Dwarf Sag). π
Ooh that is interesting and a nice looking plant (I googled!) Also well done on your rain. π
Ah, the poetry of nature knows no boundaries! π
Exactly! π (I like that one!)
Big blossoms are impressive because of their size, but the little ones have so much more to offer.
Yes indeed, Ken! π Those little buggers have a lot more to offer than people think! I’m very appreciative of the little ivy flowers in our yard (lawn); they look way better than all that damn boring grass.
Indeed – size no indicator of significance! (Shorter poems can weigh in greater than longer ones.)
Yes, Jazz! You are echoing my wife Marla’s words from a few minutes ago! π
wonderful poem and photo, Thomas, have a nice day, regards Mitza
Thank you, and you too, Mitza! π I put in a Disney movie in the video player in the birds’ room, and Scarlet — when i showed them the video cover — said, “I saw that one already.” π
Perfect match!
Thank you, Belinda! π Your gull shots were superb! Like i said, there’s intelligence there!
Thanks again!
“Ladies and Gentleman … the Beetles!”
P.S. I clicked on the photo to get a better look at those little beetles, not quite as cute as the mop-topped lads, but cute in their own right. π
π I downsize my photos for WordPress… so they really, i don’t suppose, can be enlarged much. People who post high Mb pics are wasting their Media allotment and are wasting the time of people who have slow internet speeds. So sad about John Lennon; he could have, perhaps, helped to change things even more.
I only started using larger pictures this year. The first year, I had very few pictures and they were very small back then. I only started using multiple pictures last year on a whim when I went on a walk and couldn’t decide what picture to use as a head pic for that day’s post. Yes, it was a loss with John Lennon – another senseless shooting.
I do love being eye-to-eye with creatures of all sorts. There’s an awareness and an intelligence there that can’t be denied. (Well, I suppose it is denied by some, but never mind that.)
Yes, it’s denied by those without much intelligence themselves. Tee hee
So good that you a deep interest in nature! π

If my inner workings could come out in poetry form, this is what it would say. Beautiful Tom!
