“He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.

Halloween is a candylicious
fun for kids time of year
and the ugly monster
with the orangish hair
(who is a reflection of a sick national immorality)
is mostly what we should fear

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...
I’ve just bought sweets in case any kids come by on Halloween. 🙂
Great poem and quote – for the real Halloween terror!
🙂
My wife just said she read that 60% of Halloween candy is eaten by adults. Many take it from their kids’ candy.
That is the irresistable power of Chocolate! 🙂
haha I can believe it! – I’ll probably end up eating this Halloween candy myself again. No-one came round last year.
Never mind! Mustn’t let good sweets go to waste! 😉
The beautiful orb spider…she is my favorite! I have been hunting all season for her, in my gardens, with no luck. I have seen her every year until now. Thank you for posting this. Hoping I might still get lucky!🕷🕷🕷
So cool, Roda, that you feel (as i do) that they are beautiful. Too many people were conditioned to hate and despise spiders (which is so unfortunate, especially since so many are very beneficial and magnificent creatures). 🙂
I completely agree!
Awesome spider shot!
Yes, thank you much, Sandy! 🙂
You are welcome.
wow. that = 100 % awesome spider.
Yes, it is, Mr. Monkey! 🙂 Hey, they are making imitations of you and selling them in stores. I saw some the other day!
(Hoping your trip was safe!)
trip = safe but cold & rainy. this never dampen spirit of monkey. always eye of monkey see through drizzle of present to light of future. monkey think this have name optimism.
hehe, that was a good hint, Thomas. I fear him, too. Have a nice day, regards Mitza
🙂
Sad that even people far from the U.S. fear him! They have good reason to! Stay safe, Mitza!
😦
The orange haired one will do much more damage than the halloween spider.
Yes, and the strands of his web penetrate into the warped minds of many, including KKK members who love him and Nazi supporters who adore him. It takes a special kind of stupid to be under his sick realm of hate.
Great quote by Martin Luther King…those who no doubt knew about numerous high profile cases in recent years such as Harvey Weinstein or Jimmy Savile are just as guilty as the are really…I hope they feel proud of themselves. Great photo.
Thank you, Graham. 🙂 Deception and madness — and, thankfully, i lost some so-called human followers after this posting — often go hand in hand.
Both spider photos are beautiful — the second one is very impressionistic. Changing colours and focus often helps us see things in a different way. Thanks.
Thank you, Sally! 🙂
yes!
most scary
monster 🙂
🙂 Yes, evil personified!
Spectacular design and colors of the body’s spider! Amazing Tom! 🙂
Where find the spider Tom? I would like know the history of the spider!
They are all around a pond that is not far from our home. They are Black and Yellow Argiope Spiders. They get really large. It is said that the zig-zag thick pattern that they make in their web may have two functions. One… to signal birds not to fly into their large webs, and two… to attract insects due to the ultraviolet light that they reflect. 🙂
Thank you Tom for the info! 🙂
