To separate the Thoughts from the Thinker

Psychologically separating inner thoughts from a “central thinker” is a reflection of age-old ignorance and internal deception. People have been doing this for myriads of generations, and the effects of this inner conflict radiate out into the outer world (as chaos, disorder, and conflict that we see every day in the news). As was suggested in the previous posting, the “thinker” is a learned protrusion of the thoughts, nothing more. Without the thoughts, there would be no thinker. This thought/thinker division is a delusory misconception. It involves inner conflict and illusory separation. There is no separate “thinker” dominating and controlling thoughts from some psychological distance. The separate “thinker” is a concoction of the thinking process. There is no separate thinker; a dominating, central “thinker” is just a crude, divisive misconception. As thoughts arise, the mind is actually the thoughts, and all thoughts are reactions. To go beyond the falsehood that so many embrace can bring an order (i.e., a profound awareness) that is beyond friction, separation, and dominating conflict. In doing so, mindless selfishness dissipates. Such a “doing” involves a tremendous mutation in (and “as”) the total mind. Then there is less friction, less energy wastage, and no self-deception. (Then the mind may often joyfully and intelligently exist beyond the mundane reactions of thinking.) However, an apathetic mind of fear, indifference, habit, and limitation will, unfortunately, not be interested in this. It will continue to react as it always has, without ever realizing the immeasurable treasures that exist beyond mediocrity.

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy. How beautiful Tom – did the remaining egg hatch or have you been back to check on it? Baby Robins with their wispy tufts of feathers before their attitude they develop later on in life, like many humans do. That nest and its occupants gives me something to think over – the miracle of life!

Yes, Linda, the remaining egg hatched. Yes, the miracle of life! And it’s amazing that these creatures evolved from Theropod dinosaurs; in fact, they are dinosaurs! They say that now is the age of the mammals, but there are, these days, far more species of birds than there are of mammals. It makes one smile! 😊
