In order for indifference to take place in (and “as”) the human mind, a psychological space must exist. If you are indifferent to the suffering of people or animals — people are a type of animal, by the way — then there must be a limited psychological space in you, separating the perceiver from that which is perceived. A false, learned “center” (as a psychological self) must exist for this limited space to exist.
Innocence exists when limited space is not prevalent. Then compassion flowers and care blossoms. Then there is a perceiving that is not separative and divisive. Innocence transcends war and conflict. Deep intelligence involves great innocence.

Most logical! 😎
Thanks, M.T., my friend. And we can still go beyond words and logic that is limited. 😊
‘Deep intelligence involves great innocence.’ Wow, that’s quite a statement.
Yes, H.Q., and innocence is great order and non-imitated goodness. 😊
Wow wonderful picture Tom! 🙂
Thank you, Marcela! 😉
That was interesting Tom. Compassion is what we need more of these days. I like the mushrooms, which would probably be multiplying at the speed of sound if it were warmer outside. Between the fog and rain, I feel like a mushroom.
Yes, compassion is critical, but not in the sense of just putting others down.
It rained heavy here earlier this evening, Linda, and it was headed east, towards you. The electricity went out for a while, but they were pretty quick with getting things rectified, so that was great! Even the house’s geothermal system (for heating and cooling) depends on some electricity.
I have never understood people putting others down. Having worked in a law office for four decades, I was no stranger to how condescending some lawyers were to others, even other lawyers (as if they deemed them unworthy of the profession). Indiana had it bad with tornadic activity. I’m glad your power outage was brief. At least it was not bitter cold, but any power loss isn’t good, especially with your tropical fish and parrots.
