Habitual Thinking…

Most people tend to remain reacting in (and “as”) the habit of thinking. They habitually react as one series of thought-patterns after another. These patterns consist of such things as personal issues, political issues, so-called religious issues, and a multitude of other issues. Most people have propensities to remain in (and “as”) reacting patterns of thought/thinking. Instead of being true action, what they are engulfed in is habitual reaction. Mechanistic, symbolic reaction is not living. Please look beyond the realm of secondhand, repetitive processes.

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy. Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...

Yes Tom, I believe many of us do this. In fact it’s difficult not to. But to be aware of what we are doing is part of the solution I guess. I’m grateful I’m not preaching the same mantra from 3 decades ago though, at least I’m moving forward. 🤞🏼🙂

Yes, it can be difficult not to habitually do it (as you say). 😉 Yes, to be aware of what we are doing is part of the solution (but only a part). Does one feel that more firm control over one’s thoughts is what is needed? No. The thoughts are what one is… and the absence of active thoughts/thinking is what can be too. However there is no separate controller running the show. This supposed separation is part of the problem. It’s fragmentation/conflict.

Repetitive patterned thinking – DEADLY – and MECHANICAL – it terrifies me that we move ever closer to the machines we now call god. That photo is food for my starving green eyes that see nothing but black and white shrouds of winter… Bless you Tom!!!!

Thank you, Sara! 😊 Next they will continue to develop computer chips to insert into human craniums to (supposedly) help people think better. Then people will become even more mechanical and subservient than they are now. I am glad that i’m older and won’t be a part of those Darth Vadar calamities.
