While lingering in the very curious dark a quaint two-horse somber carriage happened by and, as it almost paused adjacent to me, Miss Dickinson peering out, smiling, said, “Won’t you hop in to savor some pie?”
We (much later passed) the School, where Children strove Happily at Recess—in the Ring And Staring, (we passed) the Fields of Gazing Grain We (without fail) passed the Setting Sun We passed those Dusky Creatures that were on the Wing
Well, the atmosphere tasted scrumptious, but the Coachman suddenly brought the whole sweet thing to a blinding halt However, Timelessness has that radiant aroma of infinity oozing out from all around it where ending simply began again with just a pinch of salt
My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...
Thanks, Ellen. 😉
It’s not a dream we’re in if we are very aware… often beyond virtual thoughts (from others) and beyond mere sensation after sensation. But, alas, most of us are ensnared in endless entertainment.
Didn’t express myself at all well or clearly, but I meant the world as we see is a dream, the Hindu concept of “Maya.” What we see is a pattern on the retina, seen differently by all.
Yes, Ellen, i knew that that is what you meant.
Do we all see things differently? I really feel that, in a big way, we do not. Most of us see in the same (learned) ways through pretty much the same mental screens. Is much of this “seeing” illusory? Yes, but it depends on how one was educated (or miseducated). Most certainly, there is a deeper, much more profound reality (that most of us, unfortunately) are not even close to being aware of.
I saw a different reality for sure when I had my breakdown. Of course, that is dismissed as “crazy” but what makes me think differently is because there was an abundance of synchronicity in my life which indicates something “good” I cannot define or defend. I have heard, again, in the Hindu religion, that what we actually see that we call reality are patterns of perception by the eyes, ears, etc. Who knows what is the absolute thing we are seeing. The post I wrote is called “Alternative Realities” on my blog if you want to read. Lost followers with that one for sure but worth it. Probably you wouldn’t like it either. A lot craziness back then which I don’t even talk about. But synchronicity… I’d be interested to hear what you say about it.
Yes, Ellen, i had read your blog post on “Alternative Realities” and liked it.
I had worked, before i retired, as a teacher for multiply handicapped students who were all in wheelchairs. Some were older and were labeled as Bipolar. I found that with much structure in their lives and with a lot of care and compassion directed their way, they largely overcame their Bipolar issues. Around when i was retiring, some of them even thanked me for what i had done.
Sometimes i get insights and have accurate foreseeings of what the future entails. Some people might think that that is a bit crazy, but often it is a real blessing. But it would be wrong to desire and seek out such things. Seeing the whole may involve some elements of synchronicity, but there has to be a balance (and it is best for the mind to exist as order and stability). Balance and mental poise is the key. Eating whole foods, exercising, and such, all have to do with harmonious, integral, intelligent living.
Thanks so very much, Ken. I sometimes wonder if i am making a difference to anybody. So great to realize that you are truly appreciative of this stuff. I, for sure, am very appreciative of your blogging. 😊
Great to read, Astrid!… i’m so glad you see something there! 😊 Sometimes poetry lets you express deeper things that normally should not be told directly. And even Emily wrote: “Tell all the truth, but tell it slant.”
Unexpected but wonderful.
That’s an honor coming from you, Lou! Your poetry is superb! 😊
(I used to write poetry for some of my blogs, and now i’m getting back into it some.)
I read this piece and feel like I am in a dream. But then, aren’t we all, all of the time? This is actually a question.
Thanks, Ellen. 😉

Nice shot, Tom, those wings look like glad-wrap!
Yes, Michael, very much like glad-wrap! What a name for a product!…. glad-wrap! 😀
As a blogger, I know followers come and go. As a follower of your blog, you continue to educate and entertain me. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your lovely journey with us all, Tom. 💞
Yes, thank you very much! 😊
On gossamer wings it flies … that was quite a closeup of this Night Flyer Tom.
Sounds very Emily Dickenson-like, Linda! I really like some of her poems… and some of them have qualities of immense spiritual insight. 😊
Such a beautiful lacewing.
Thanks, but it’s actually a Mayfly, not a Lacewing. 😉
Your words charged my imagination and senses. I love the last line and the truth it offers.

I love how poetry can be direct yet mysterious 🙂
Nice shot
