A lot of people in the so-called United States of America like to kill a lot of people in the so-called United States of America. It’s a deplorable form of ignorance really. It’s like the thumb of a hand attacking the fingers of the very same hand. A lot of people have been miseducated, and they do not perceive the unity of all things and creatures. Most look with (and “as”) separation, division, fragmentation, indifference, and isolating distance from a supposed center. We need to wake up and grow beyond the shortsighted limitation.

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Tom, I wrote about this very topic a couple of days ago, and I understand and appreciate your take on the atrocities taking place with these mass shootings. My fury made me write what I did, but somehow I am still holding on to hope that the popularity of these occurrences will fizzle out quickly. Of course, some things truly need to change, but sadly, that sounds like a broken record at this point. 🤬
It’s just like you, Kym, to care about addressing something like this. While writing it, i was sure that you would be writing something about it too. I was right.
Hopefully things will get better but don’t hold your breath.
Tom, my dear friend, you are so compassionate and I truly understand where you are coming from. We are living in a crazy reality that seems like a Friday the 13th movie! I watch the news as I have a need to know, but the news is more cringeworthy every day. I love your Robin hatchlings, especially the one with the bright-yellow, oversized beak. I have a Cardinal’s nest in my backyard in the Barberry bushes. She just started sitting on the nest. I am excited to see the little ones, but she is very embedded in that bush.
It’s so very sad that i have to write about this. People seem to be getting crazier by the minute!
Cardinals are so cool and beautiful! I sure hope that their little ones do well! 😊
Yes, Siobhan, it makes no sense (to those who perceive without distortion). They say that our sun is a rarity in its mild nature and stability (compared to most other stars). So complex life may not be as common in the multiverse as many think. And too many of us are butchers with regard to this precious life.
