There is a vast seriousness that radiates its discipline holistically, healthfully, and with tremendous joy and insight. This seriousness is not what merely childishly depends upon the blueprints of others. Being whole, it need not grope for more, for improvement, nor does it mechanistically function according to any prearranged laid out patterns. The flame of this seriousness burns away illusion, separation, death, and time.
My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

It sucks! Too housebound and when m outside I have to watch my feet for ice – ugh looking down the other three seasons is a joy – snow no! Hope you are doing well β¦. Did you read the thing about killing a giant Australian toad? We of course brought them inβ¦.
The weather has been very good here in Illinois so far. I’ve read about those big toads in the past. People need to leave species in their own native ranges and not release them to other areas. Snakehead fish, for example, are some of the invasive species that currently compete with many native fish in American waters.
I like how you said this.
Much appreciated, Marlene. π
Interesting perspective Tom. I like your close-up baby bird, maybe a Robin? I always smile at their over-sized bright yellow beak and wispy feathers.
Thanks much, Linda. Yes, it is, if i remember right, a robin. π
So cute and lovely!
Thank you, Marcela! π
what a photo Tom!
Thank you, Sara! π I hope the weather is OK where you live.

This caught my attention and this baby bird was so close.
Let’s follow our blogs.
Thanks Anita
Thanks, Anita. π
Seriousness does indeed reinforce thoughts and acts of discipline. Thought provoking words. Thanks π
Great extreme close up of this baby bird, Tom.
