My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Much appreciated, Sylvia! ๐
Gorgeous.
Thank you, Sandy! ๐
Welcome, Tom!
When I watch the news and hear what’s going on around us, there is indeed a limitation of thought…or no thought at all. I’ll go with the latter. Even insects have better perception! LOL ๐
Yes, Kym, the news is comical and frightening simultaneously. Now some people are resorting to using Cro Magnon techniques in politics… hitting the “other side” on the head with hammers or clubs. It is sickening and deplorable. People are losing their humanity! ๐
That there are no boundaries should obvious to the scientist as well as the believer. No matter which camp one resides, if it is reasoned beyond the accepted norms we find there is no such thing as a separate thing. There is only one thing and you are it.
Yes, but be cautious about going too far with the “you are it” thing. That still tends to support the ego and may stem from intellectual identification.
It’s rather sad that what we are discussing here is so very far from the norm. In other words, i wouldn’t want to think the way that my neighbors think (for all the money in the world).
The photo is stunning and truth in the statement. You can’t believe the eye rolls I get when trying to explain this or what I’ve learned in my limited foray into quantum physics. We know so little yet think we know it all. Sigh.
Yes, Marlene, i sure know what you mean by getting “eye rolls.” ๐
And like i said to Jim above, it’s rather sad that what we are discussing here is so very far from the norm. In other words, i wouldnโt want to think the way that my neighbors think (for all the money in the world).
Wow spectacular macro, so beautiful, love the blue colour!
Thank you, Marcela! Hoping your weekend is great! ๐
Great Point Tom! and you had the PERFECT PHOTOGRAPH – WOW
Thank you, Sara! Much appreciated. ๐

Thank you for clarifying this is a Damselfly that you’ve captured for us Tom (I thought it was a Blue Dasher). What a beautiful creature up close.
Yes, Linda, they are striking (and very observant) creatures!
A pretty blue color and I was amazed the length of the tail as opposed to the head/body.
Such delicate beauty!
