Possible Insights and more…

The sweet whole can clearly be seen by a mind of sweet wholeness.

Gross oversight is failure to notice the reality of what is actually taking place, failure to notice the whole, (while one, all the while, is fixated on the parts).

It may be prudent to remain with (and “as”) the suffering of loneliness without merely habitually trying to escape from it.

The earth and the moon do not argue amongst themselves about which one is more round, and they dance along with each other just fine.

Most of the food sitting upon selves in the grocery stores of the U.S.A. … is not healthy food.

The scientist said to the man who fell and broke his knee, “Do you understand the gravity of the situation?”

Compassion and wisdom… not two separate things… the one is the other.

Many people of many countries and religions were born into each of those so-called countries and religions, and often inherently (and hereditarily) think that theirs is “the best” and is “very special above the others”; we keep killing ourselves in bloody wars based on separative borders and beliefs.

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy. 1. The looper moth – wow never head of him – what a picture –
As for loneliness, well, I have learned from trying to escape it that it makes it worse… now when I experience loneliness i hear myself say “feel your feelings, and they will pass. And they DO! Sometimes with new insight…or a visitor from nature! Many Blessings Tom.

  2. Much to ponder here. Loneliness is more apparent when in a room full of people. Life is more challenging when alone. You have targeted so many thoughts I have myself. Grocery stores are not necessarily healthy places to visit. Compassion and wisdom! Yes! And your list goes on.

  3. My father was from Germany and moved here after being in the German army in WWII. He was a racist to the core – anyone who was not a German was to be looked down on. My mother was not German, so how they hooked up I’ll never know. I heard him disparage others and hated him for it. If people could only step back and see themselves it would be a better world – well maybe. I like your line: “The earth and the moon do not argue amongst themselves about which one is more round, and they dance along with each other just fine.” It made me chuckle.

  4. I’m sorry about your father, Linda. There are so many racists in the world these current days. Plenty of my neighbors are full of plenty of racism, unfortunately. Yes, people need to step back and look at themselves; it’s called self-awareness or critical self-understanding. To perceive out of the box — with fresh, uncontaminated eyes — is key.
Hoping you have a magical and Covid-safe Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŽ„
