My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy. Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...

  1. How are butterfly numbers holding up in your neck of the woods, in UK things look pretty grim.

    • Recently, i went to dinner with a few retirees from the school for the handicapped where i had worked; i told them that it seems there are way fewer butterflies this year. They didn’t respond. Yesterday i read that there is a new, invasive wasp in the UK that kills bees; it is going to be devastating to the UK’s bee population. On the brighter side, i do see a lot of species of butterflies… just not as many of certain kinds. We humans need to lower our population numbers and give nature a chance.

      • And not using chemicals and reducing exhaust emissions and gratuitously killing wildlife and working to redress he loss of wildlife, but mainly thinking of people not profits of our environment not our purses.

  2. “Twice upon a once”. The colours are like a Cezzane still life, and fractals are amazing, more and more I’m coming to see how this is how life is constructed

  3. The lines sound very interesting, so in tune with the wings in the photo, I’d say, and quite nice contrast there, too. Delight upon debris…

  4. Your comment on my post Old Faithful got my attention. So I’m here and found out a little more about you. I have to check on y bookshelf. I thought I have a book of the similar title, perhap it’s just The Fountain of Youth, but yours The Eternal Fountain of Youth would be more interesting. I’m into holistic living. We eat simple. I’m a quasi-vegetarian. My daughter and her husband have been true vegetarians for 8 or 9 years. They are camping and rock climbing in Brice Canyon as I speak. My husband exercise almost everyday, mountain biking, gym, running. I do yoga, gym machine, swimming, walking. I like reading and doing contemplation. Oh, by the way, I taught for 15 years, regular ed. then went into district admin for 10 before I retired. I’ll come back to visit your blog, and surely will find out the book that I have. I have books of that genre. Have to meeting you.
