Going back… (Multi-Photo)

.

Tonight, go back in time to when you were a young child.

(Revisit that immortal youth that was)

far beyond the jaded, stodgy, leaden views of the overly-busy adults.

Soar again in those floating dreams… then go beyond dreaming to how

you were so very amazed at life’s wonderful, majestic living creatures.

Remember, back then, how you were small

but your perceptions were magical, large, and vast.

Return and youthfully run and fly again through that enchanting world.

Then never grow up.

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy. My youth is slowly slipping ( I’m 18) and this makes some feel sad. Great poem

My body keeps reminding me of the passage of time – but my heart remembers and revisits the enchantment of youth. Wonderful poem and great image – love the colors!

I can tell by your wonderful photos and poems that you have plenty of youth inside! This body (too) is getting old and is full of arthritis (from years of physically lifting my heavy wheelchair bound students day in and day out)… but the mind stays fresh and young.

I’m headed for 53 and can’t help but work harder toward freeing myself of social expectations so I can be “amazed at life’s wonderful – amazing creatures” more than ever. Youthfulness is making inroads. Its roots run deeper by the day.
Great words of wisdom and wonderful photos as always. – looks like a Mourning Cloak.

Great, Jude!… keep that youthfulness blossoming! I’m headed for 64 and am still doing tons of things I did as a kid. Getting old — mentally — is a disease I hope I never succumb to!
