something above the grass
stirs my very heart
butterflies and bees
are Life’s living art
some things in the woods
are my very soul
the animals,the trees,and i
are always very whole

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

You seem to have much better luck finding butterflies than I do. Nice shot.
I like the natural photos better than the colored filters. Am I in the minority on this?
Kindred spirits
Though I still find butterflies, there are less to find each year.
In terms of the photo types… I like both. Many insects see things with additional and different lighting capabilities than what we humans are capable of — such as ultraviolet — so some of the altered photos may be closer to their reality than the unaltered ones.
Personally, my true favorites are the true color 3D holograms or 3D digital photographs. They give the true depth and true lifelike spacing… far more lifelike and breathtaking than with superficial 2D. It’s 2D that is very limited (and artificial) in what it presents. However, 3D is not currently easily presented to the public via computers (for the vast majority of the public). I make holograms and take 3D photographs. 3D is not very popular; (most people don’t want to go into things with any depth!)
