Gold, the Eternal Treasure

Denzel Epinstein ambled with a very crooked leg

His perceptions, though, were not jaded and askew

Mary Whitnun power-walked with perfect knees and thighs

Her subservient perceptions were full of broken fragments and distortion

Ed Sedentary was perpetually glued to his television

Temporary things were seen with separation and phosphorescent isolation

Tina Flow appeared to be alone in the golden meadows of nature

She wasn’t,however, apart from all of the wondrous and magnificent creatures

Real Love

Real love can’t be reasoned

        can’t be measured

                        can’t be sold

                        and doesn’t give a damn

              about having tons of $

or a stinking pot of gold

Genuine wisdom isn’t pompous

        isn’t pigheaded

                        isn’t forlorn sorrow

and won’t ever bring ecstatic truth

        eternal perception and blissful joy

if seriousness is 4 2morrow

Bipedal

[Note:  The following poem is not about the Praying Mantis; it is about the species who manufactured the metal rail that the Mantis is walking across.]

Bipedal

Hairy

Tends to dominate other species

Some act with great order and understanding while many are indifferent and uncaring

Often fights other imaginary sub-groups of its own kind

Takes far more — in terms of the domain of other species — than its fair share

Overpopulates its own kind over the entire planet

Covers life-areas with dead concrete

Feels intelligent and superior (while it — all along — ruins the planet)

Most do not realize that they are not separate from the world as a whole

Some are very caring, considerate, and compassionate

Mentally feeds on symbols and images rather than reality

Often uses others for profit

Often blindly follows/obeys power-hungry tyrants in high positions

Some fire projectiles from held devices to put holes in  other species or in others of their own kind… rendering them lifeless

Some warmheartedly stay local, recycle, use alternative energy, and actually help nature and others of their own kind

Others hypocritically claim to love nature while they often needlessly fly for long distances in aircraft that spew out deadly fossil fuels in vast quantities

Most foolishly think that their species is separate from other species

Some refrain from harming multitudinous species who highly value their own existence

Some have real empathy while others are mere thinking/reacting machines

Most abandoned life in the trees and woodlands to become the obedient working slaves of others

Only an extremely small number have been visited by that sacred, eternal energy that is beyond the realm of standard causality and rigid boundaries

Many believe in a dominating super-organism who — up above — happens to be a tail-free ape like themselves

Most subscribe to the very primitive notion that the observer is separate from the observed

A small few exist beyond the shared madness

The Greatest Halloween Terror is not a Spider

Halloween is a candylicious

Let us go and make our visit…

Thither we go
        into a half-baked poem
        hardly worth reading

We will continue to read it
        despite its repulsive tendencies
to bring us closer to mediocrity

unless we allow the eyes to feast
        on the accompanying photos
which are not as puerile and spineless
as the poem currently being read

Of course the poem can be
        memorized and recited
if you’d like to fail to impress your friends
(who are imprisoned in all standard misconceptions)

Any disreputable poem
        such as this one
        neglects to suggest anything profound
        and declines to mention
        the beauty of nature

You (Mr. Prufrock) heard them each to each
Go ahead and eat your peach
I too am an easy tool
        and i too grow old
(the bottom of my trousers rolled)

Here I am riding on the Solar Sunflower Express

        in first class.

Down below,in third class,a lowly soldier beetle rests;

he has connections on the web

but he is way below my esteemed riches.

I have my feelers out for the lush, green cash to be had,

and I feel secure in my dominance and expertise.

As for the servile soldier beetle, well,

he better hope that he is fit enough to fight in the

        battles that I decree.

Now please excuse me while I give some

        top-rate tobacco a little chew.

The Reader is the Read

In the reading of a poem
the depth of the poem may have meaning
which,coincidentally,depends upon
the depth of the reader
not that the reader and the poem
are necessarily two separate things

If superficiality is involved
it may be with regard to the poem itself
or it may involve the perception of the reader
not that the perception and the reader are separate
not that the poetry and the depth are necessarily separate
as when the reader and the read are not two separate things
which,in a world of tremendous conflict,friction,and division,
might not be a bad thing whatsoever

Mr. No-One and the Universe

Squeak and Meek each went to take a peek

and what they saw was delectably ever so sleek

It buttery flowed meltedly through slippery slopes

and was spattered in sections beyond blind people’s hopes

Roly and Poly barrelled into town

they joined the loud circus and smiley jolly clown

They circled around the rainbowed ice cream shop

and drove to the intersection then came to a stop

Itchy and Stichy yelled into a huge microphone

and no one heard them since no one was home

And the tree in the forest down with a loud crashing sound

while the universe sure heard it because the universe was around

Skipper and Scatter burst onto the scene

to become part of this skinny poem and the pickings are lean

What do you expect at this hungry time of day

like some scrumptious corn on the cob in a splendid flowery kind of way?

Trotting Beyond Limitation

We trot in eternity

          though most see transiency

We move with infinity

          though most react temporarily

We silently sail among endless waves

they thirst in thought’s bone-dry deserts

We are visited by the timeless

they are late for their appointments

Basking beyond the need for belief

A nonmediocre novelty lasted for relaxed nonseparative miles

as we drove past steady sunflowers who sweetly worshipped the sun

In a divided disorganized planet of perplexed savage wars

omniscient order majestically does nevertheless easily run

Multitudinous millipedes mingled in the downbelow grasses

as businesslike bumblebees hurriedly bustled in blossoms far up above

And the saintly sun’s devotees seemed to move like precision clockwork

with a passionate proclivity for life and for love

The Turning of the Key

The turning of the key looked south

and the room peered deeper into itself

When the circumscribed room left itself

it was outdoors where it was no longer a room

         Gentle breezes again looked south

and the radiant depths of the garden penetrated the mind

Oh,dear Emily, that blue fly that interposed upon your death,

was she very alive in your confined, secluded space?

Ms.Dickinson, was that stillness what can never die,

even when the windows, with all their keepsakes,

         fail?

Past flying in time
beyond because and why
Further than sorrow’s self-pity
Lofty in nature’s design

Pent-up in clover not theories
Peppered impressions
beyond dark desperation
Red glorious sweet tastes like rhyme

We sat at the crossroads between two whys

and because came by and told us we couldn’t

We did anyway

and with great joy ran

And although there wasn’t anything where we were not

we unfolded outside in

to again when returning becomes begin

We mulled beyond the lackluster masses

past a jangled jeer of mediocrity

Literally we so deeply immersed in always

even though surrounded by cold clevers

all permanently flushed by a potty-bowl of transient hows

We sprightfully spring to always

We transcend a trillion wishes and billions of prizes

We beseech the ever small-minded,far from ordinary’s cadaverous lair

Let’s mail the old status quo to dead Pluto

What real poverty is…

There was a very rich man

(a man with a cadaverous, cold heart)

who walked along the barren, indifferent sidewalks

and, while he walked, he passed

the splendid flowers and trees by,

(without looking at their immense beauty).

As he walked, there was a limited separation

between what was considered to be “a central I” and

       the other thoughts that occurred;

there was also a large gap or separation

between his consciousness and profound nature.

There was a rather poor man

(a man with a beneficent, warm heart)

who walked through the amicable gardens and meadows

       and, while he walked, awareness

examined the magnificent flowers and trees,

       (smiling at the immeasurable beauty).

As he walked, there was no separation

       between a supposed “central controller”

       and the occurring thoughts;

       additionally, an effortless silence often occurred;

there was no gap or separation

between a “his consciousness” and natural beauty.

And here is a sweet, little secret that can always unfold:

The very rich man wasn’t really rich at all,

and the rather poor man wasn’t poor

        what

                    so

                          ever.

That everywhere is awakingly here

           is ouryourheshemy joy and compassion

           until we

take

        that

               first

                      step

(which is also quite the

                               last)

           in sequential perpetuity

(at which point some will wonder

why God doesn’t intervene or

show us the answers)…

We had them all along, you see

but eyes were kept perpetually closed

just as everyone else’s were

since we’re a facsimile of them

and they’re a facsimile of us

           and everything conceived is

            second-hand and artificial

And there are dreams while we sleep

though most are never really awake

Let all the cadavers lie

Let all the cadavers lie

where they remain buried in lies

Let fears turn into one beautiful winged insect

and let wisdom turn to joy

Let whispers turn into songs

         where singing breathes as freedom

Let wise questions become insightful answers

         let ends become beginnings

Let here be where compassion helps

         while indifference goes to grass

Let the earth’s winds increase exponentially

as nature’s rage to pollution and carelessness

Let all the hateful hurt turn to kindness

         as sweetly flowers smile

Let descending mutate to ascending

         rendering death nonexistent for forever

Let the future be now

         where the past will happen

The other day

the shoreline went for a walk

It saw dogs walking their people

and it saw goslings swimming with joy

Laughing kites were what it saw

and blankets on grass eating strawberries

And(i’ll tell yew the leastlittlest of secrets)

we aren’t really separate from what we experience

After a while, the trees and shoreline sat

on a wooden bench to rest

Eyelids shut themselves and there(for a while or forever)

           was(beautifully too)no

           thing

This Movement

           This movement wishes to go

through life helping others

(who are,themselves,part of

           the movement of life).

           This movement wishes to be

life’s companion,not life’s enemy;

it doesn’t want to merely harm

           or exploit life.

It wants to root itself in with

the majestic oak trees

and share in their

           growth and freedom.

This movement wants to put its arms

around Mother Nature

and gently walk with her

            beyond the synthetic and man-made.

           This movement would like to

somehow share

the eternal secret of life

           (that exists beyond all conclusions).

Poetry…

Note:   Our internet crashed due to a violent storm.  I cannot correspond with any of you until it is fixed, hopefully in a week or two. My postings have been prescheduled, so they will continue.  It’s storming as this additional note is being typed on a tiny cellphone.

Note:  The following reflects my personal outlook regarding the best types of poetry; if the poetry that you write or that you happen to be fond of is not of the type that i most admire, it does not mean that it is not valid poetry for you; (it does not mean that it is not interesting to me ; one finds many types of poetry interesting).  Everyone has different tastes.  Please do not be offended if the following poem does not reflect your viewpoints on poetry.

**********************************************************************************************************

If it takes your breath away

and helps you see the world with less fragmentation,

then that’s poetry

If it encourages you to take better care

of Mother Nature and of yourself(who is part of her),

then that’s poetry

If it goes beyond mediocrity, sameness, and bourgeois values…

causing you to not merely see through others’ eyes,

then that’s poetry

If it takes away the crass separation between

           the observer and the observed,

then that’s poetry

If it merely enthusiastically entertains you

            without a profoundly deeper meaning,

then that’s not poetry

If it merely helps you to fit in

with the copiers, the mimics, and the perpetually indifferent,

then that’s not poetry

If it fixates you with more mere details to maintain a blindspot

regarding truth for the rest of your so-called life,

then that’s not poetry

If it helps you to see

           beyond the ordinary,

then that’s poetry

If it peels away your stiff, robotic dependence

on the patterns and symbols of others,

then that’s poetry

If it comes to you uninvited, silently in the middle of the night

bringing immense insight, true bliss, and vast understanding,

then that’s poetry

If it helps you to actually feel

rather than to merely mechanically react and think,

then that’s poetry

When’ll “wouldn’t have a clue” ever transcend

Where’ll we be when we transcend mankind’s empty should’ves

When ladders climb

Boats went rowing

She’s the most regal queen

         that ever walked the earth

She servants in the hundreds has

who depend on her for birth

Royal jelly fed to her

for a weighty amount of time

formed her different from the rest

and kept her in her prime

Bees are Nature’s gift to flowers

Without them not as much beauty

If their kingdom you would love

consume more organics and in your monarchical yard

Poem of One

Of course, everything that we ever warmly saw

       was exactly what we were

With this,clocks might disagree

       or limited walls of where

just as when the frost yawns

       or the tide jumps

       or the winds,in their caprice,

       change their minds about moving

Suddenly they shouted

and their shout was what we were

       and always will be

as when the sun and flowers

       dance so close that each

       the other is

or how birds fly in unison

       as one organism

       together but not

       as many

Like when the poetic words

       and the reader are

       not two separate things

when why the she and he

       of love is not

       the cold separatist

       apart from analysis

On even days he would frown

He said he wished more people were odd like him

           with juggling all the whiles

There was a white faced circus clown

           who could easily summersault

He realized that most thought that they were separate

from what they see

but that it was not their fault

There was a white faced circus clown

who earned their whistles and cheers

He helped them leave their troubles behind

though they were not separate

           from their fears

There is a little circus clown

with long orange floppy awkward feet

and if you ever meet with him

(who you are too)

you’re in for quite a treat

These old shoes

           finished with hopscotching

           on colorful sidewalks

and have put red and blue marbles

           and jump-ropes into cessation

These wrinkled hands

interred their baseball bats and ping pong balls

           deep into the cobwebbed past

and forgot about sweet kites soaring

           amongst the bluest of skies

Old,impaired eyes

traded the joy of simple flower-filled days

           for the complexity of money

while they finished with oak trees

           and became buried in paperwork

Diddle and Twiddle each played

          their own fiddle

and since there were only two of them playing

No one was in the middle

They played tactfully(and as Diddle

          ejected a bit of spittal)

          Twiddle nervously giggled and said,

“It seems to be starting to drizzle”

Next,Diddle remarked,

          “Please don’t piddle;

the rhyme does have a middle”

And then,in his transmittal,Twiddle said,

           “This poem seems to

           have a riddle”

           Then,his third brother,No one,said,

           “I’m just a triple nobody

           stuck here in the middle,

          so please do not belittle”

And it’s enlightening to psychologically exist

           as nothing

With that,you need not quibble

[Note:   The following are photos of an old dead tree that is adjacent to a large, local hospital.   It is situated within the hospital grounds, right next to where many handicapped parking spots exist.  Almost as if it had been in tune with the comings and goings of the patients, face shapes exist in places where the tree’s bark fell off.  How many “faces” can you see within the tree’s patterns?]

Are you involved with the Poem of Questions?

?Are you evaluating this poem

      as it is being read

?Are you wondering what the motive is

behind the writing of this poem

?Is a good poem a poem that helps

you to look at yourself without distortion,

      without fragmentation,without preconceived judgments

?Is a question within a poem

a good thing to exist as

?Is the mind really separate

from the questions that are asked of it

?Is Saturday near, but the living organisms

      (that one looks at)…distant

?Why would a question mark exist

at the beginning of a written question

?Can real empathy exist when there is

      distance and separation

?Is intelligence without empathy and compassion

      a superficial kind of intelligence

?Is “More all Day?” a cholesterol-laden,superficial question,

or is it a deep question from entities who really care about human beings

?Can one blossom beyond mediocrity

       and staleness

Is one separate from the words

      of this poem?

The Smile and the Frown that were swallowed by a Crocodile…

An elemental Frown

wore a serendipitous gown

and danced with a Smile all around

They flowed through the night–

what a breathtaking sight–

if only there was enough light

Eventually, the Frown was kissed by the Smile

It was most definitely worthwhile

until both were swallowed by an enormous crocodile

The crocodile swam west

as his gastric juices began to digest

(and inside his stomach muscles)both were depressed

The crocodile choked

The two were ejected,soaked

Happily,as they ran away, they were very stoked

Though both were together, the Frown disappeared

and a Grin kissed a Smile next to his beard

(while the crocodile hunted, just as we feared)

As for the croc, well,he inherited Frown’s prior frustration

as he slowly died of starvation

Now,museum kept,he’s under sterling preservation

Political Leaders (especially those against green energy) are a sign of Primitive Life on any Planet…

One wishes that things were much better, such that one could just blog about wildlife and nature’s flowers, but they are not.  The ship of the world, whether we realize it or not, is in a very precarious condition and it, due to indifference, is most definitely sinking; too many of us are walking around as if we are on a luxury cruise.

In ancient Rome, the conniving politicians held the masses in complacency by providing them with plenty of entertainment in the Colosseum; there were many forms of entertainment that involved death.   Now, dancing from the strings of fossil fuel corporations and big industry, most politicians robotically react, and people get big fossil fuel transportation vehicles to have a lot of fun in.  If all fossil fuels ended today, our atmosphere would remain critically polluted for 60 years.   At the Colosseum, there was a lot of indifference among the endless entertainment back then; many of us haven’t changed from that paradigm whatsoever.

*******************************************************************************************

The fusty, old politicians have succeeded,so far,

at keeping myriads of us(in this particular

galaxy)at bay

So many of us sit complacently,hog-tied mentally,

while hitching a ride with hypocrisy

laughing at jokes along the way

Most of us should be pronounced DOA(not

necessarily down in any hospital, but just

psychologically,upstairs)

They divert our minds, consume our integrity,

and want us to philander with superficiality

as we lower our underwear

We need to evolve beyond having “leaders”…

Look what having leaders has gotten us so far!

***********************************************************

At the forefront of all the political drivel

kingsize greed and the lust for power

            reigned supreme

While(elsewhere beyond “will be”)supple intelligence

innocently perceives without the cadaverous trappings

            of frigid and oblivious experience

The more one gropes for it,the more it eludes

and our complex and fearless leaders(full of fear)

are too disconnected to simply see it

Mushroom Tree Communication

looming flux(therefour)

          from symbiotic muck

************************************************************************************************

By Dr. Mercola:

The name mycorrhiza literally means fungus-root.  These fungi form a symbiotic relationship with the plant, colonizing the roots and sending extremely fine filaments far out into the soil that act as root extensions. Not only do these networks sound the alarm about invaders, but the filaments are more effective in nutrient and water absorption than the plant roots themselves—mycorrhizae increase the nutrient absorption of the plant 100 to 1,000 times.

In one thimbleful of healthy soil, you can find several MILES of fungal filaments, all releasing powerful enzymes that help dissolve tightly bound soil nutrients, such as organic nitrogen, phosphorus, and iron. The networks can be enormous—one was found weaving its way through an entire Canadian forest, with each tree connected to dozens of others over distances of 30 meters.

These fungi have been fundamental to plant growth for 460 million years. Even more interesting, mycorrhizae can even connect plants of different species, perhaps allowing interspecies communication.

More than 90 percent of plant species have these naturally-occurring symbiotic relationships with mycorrhizae, but in order for these CMNs to exist, the soil must be undisturbed. Erosion, tillage, cultivation, compaction, and other human activities destroy these beneficial fungi, and they are slow to colonize once disrupted. Therefore, intensively farmed plants don’t develop mycorrhizae and are typically less healthy, as a result.

Our Universe is Expanding…

Our universe is expanding(the slick scientists say)

We’re headed in that direction, come what may

Elite physicists tell us all about energy and power

But to me,they’re like a bug on a little, swelling flower

They’re studying their “Big Bang” and its incipient phases

like a spider on a protuberant bud who inquisitively gazes

But the eternal whole can’t be understood by studying mere sections,

nor by looking from a bogus center that is a primitive projection

This little round place doesn’t need fossil fuels

and doesn’t need complacency when separation and

When the Universe asks Itself an Immense Question…

upon the universe

only one extensive thing was asked,

                    and the asking was without

an “I” doing the asking

when the universe asks

                    itself an immense question,

there is no need for a fallacious(little)”I”

(and there is no self in the vastness of eternity)

so,the next time you

have something infinitely special to ask,

                    negate the pottylittle psychological you

and the answer may be in the question

Beyond the mind’s “would be’s”  and “should be’s”

Beyond all “could be’s” and “shall be’s”

                    and “rabies”

exists an effortless awareness not just of

Beyond what tries,lies,and sighs

Beyond the “why’s” Beyond revise

Beyond everything that can

exists a wisdom beyond all

Five thoughts sprung

Wise Blossoms Flower Beyond Preserve…

Here are very many nevers

                    each inexorably not together

There are ever few always

flying higher than the tall trees

?Why are there so many (shall be)s

                    striving for littlesome (maybe)s

?Why can’t feathers ask us why

when does wishing stop to try

?When did slow turn to fast

where did time change at last

In the deep of round no wonder

lightning cracks and speaks as thunder

As the toadstools dance and bloom

Zygotes form when gametes curve

                    wise blossoms flower beyond preserve

Two Special Poems about my dear Uncle Lefty

When my dear uncle Lefty was in prison

he wasn’t keen about Loop Quantum Cosmology at all

He was much more interested in the thickness

of his cold prison cell wall

When my dear uncle Lefty finally left prison

he wasn’t interested in visiting me nor my uncle Ed

He was more intent on staying permanently stiff

          and forever remaining dead

*********************************************************************

[Note:    The attached photograph is either of my uncle Lefty (who may or may not exist) or of a model of a Neanderthal at the Chicago Field Museum.  Which is it?  I won’t tell you, but i do have a big smile on my face as this is being written.]

*********************************************************************

When my dear uncle Lefty was in prison

he’d secretly dig at his cell wall whenever there was loud thunder

When my dear uncle Lefty finally got out of prison

the digging was all conveniently done for him(as he was six feet under)

Pristine Order

When pristine order

spreads out to apparently be disorder

well,we’ll be in the disorder then

            even though the spreading out

really is not separation

When the winged bird

            spreads her wing feathers

well,we’ll be the flying then

            even though the wing feathers

do not dwell as separation

When the present time

spreads out to apparently become the future

well,we’ll be the movement then

even though the past and future

do not dwell as separation

[Note:  We need to look at existence in totally new ways, ways that are intelligent (and no longer primitive) and that reflect real discoveries about reality and time.  Time is not what we have preassumed it to be.  One, personally, has realized this stuff decades ago.  This, spiritually and philosophically, has very deep implications.  It may very well be that the past is not just gone or that the future does not yet exist.  Take the time to watch the video that is at the bottom section of this posting (following my photos), please.  Additionally, there is a fuller version of this documentary; go to YouTube, and look up “The Illusion of Time, Full Documentary.”]
