Some animals — and we silly human beings often see ourselves as separate from animals — have a very profound and deep understanding of the unity and connection of all living things. Some of these “animals,” unfortunately (or fortunately) — in this regard — put many of my neighbors to shame. Deep and profound understanding involves perceiving the unity and wholeness that exists beyond separation. The Buddha, Christ, Walt Whitman, Lao Tzu, and certain others passionately spoke of it, but most of us just didn’t deeply get it. The following video-short, of KoKo the gorilla using American Sign Language shortly before her passing, is worth watching. Please watch it.

Indeed! Awesome work always my brother Tom! 😎
Thank you very much, M.T.! I’m so glad you see something there! Take care, my friend. 😉
You’re very welcome Tom! Very cool! Love and Light God Bless ❤️ 💯 😎
So cute and lovely picture Tom! Beautiful place! ❤️
Yes, it was a magical day that day, Marcela! 😊
Wonderful post, thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you, Jennifer! I appreciate it!
Tom, I took advantage of the nice, not hot, weather and have gotten out for a lot of walks with the camera. I’m sorry to see the hot weather has made a return for the next few weeks. I saw a duck pond just like this yesterday. The Mallards, like yours, were all in eclipse phase due to their annual molt and you could not tell the males from the females and there were three Wood Duck pairs, so I was excited to see that. I hope the photos come out well. This was moving and I’ve not seen it before – how intelligent Koko was. I saw a video with Robin Williams once where he was interacting with Koko after she expressed to others and to him she was sad – he was tickling her to make her happy.
I’m sure that your photos will turn out to be wonderful, Linda! 😉
Once, Mr. Rogers visited Koko, and Koko was elated. She often watched him on television… and she adored him! So that is truly a sweet thing!
Wood Ducks are so cool looking! It’s very awesome that you ran into three pairs!
RIP Koko. 💝
Yes, Michele, she was an intelligent, magnificent creature! 👍
