Evolution, involving the myriad of all plants and animals, is magical and miraculous in so many ways. Countless amazing species have appeared (and disappeared) through the journey of life on Earth. To me, it is like the blossoming of a majestic, beautiful flower… and each of its many petals is opening and expanding in miraculous ways. It is imperative that one be in tune with this blossoming, to be extremely appreciative of it and to deeply respect its holistic, spiritual nature. We are all connected. We are, each of us, a petal of this tremendous, immeasurable unfolding.

Oh Tom you are so right – the Miracle of Life is the gift we have all been given…. so grateful to know another soul who feels as I do… this is what we should be CELEBRATING this time of year – and that photo – well – as usual I am blown away
Thanks much about the photo, Sara! 😊 Yes, you are right, this is what we should be celebrating. I celebrate it every day by perceiving and being in contact with nature. And i collect fossils. Creatures of the past had their immensely important roles too. The world was also majestic millions of years ago; it was quite a different place then; it would be neat to be there back then… but then, we’d probably be what’s on the menu. 😮
Fossils – wow – I collect them too and have since I was a little girl – Life might have been different but the wonder was there – and when this dying time is done – life will come again…. have you read Merlin Sheldrakes “Entangled Life” if you haven’t you might – when I feel hopeless about the present situation I take refuge in the mycelial network under our feet – the place where life began and then I feel GENUINE hope…
I haven’t read it but the mycelial network reminds me of the wonderful movie “Avatar.” 😊
YES!
Your photographs are a wonderful way to remind how beautiful life is. Today’s photo is another wonder and it makes me happy to admire that beautiful creature.. Thank you!
Thanks a lot, Susan! Through the photographs, i try to share some of nature’s beauty with others. But they need to go out and observe for themselves. There is so much out there that is beautiful, mysterious, multi-dimensional, and amazing! 😉
Tom, oh how I love this line”We are, each of us, a petal of this tremendous, immeasurable unfolding.” The Blossoming of life is aptly relevant to our lives, especially these days. Thank you for opening your petals to us with this celebration and glow of life! 🌷💐🌺
Thanks, Kym! 😊 We are all branches of the tree of life, and we need to be respectful and appreciative of all of the other branches; they are a part of what we are. There is no truly separate species… we are all in this together, in a magical, balanced way. 😉
We human beings need to be always present in the moment to see what is around us, begging us to take a closer look and we are lucky we have you Tom to give us that perspective through your words and your macro lens. Look at this insect, its antennae, peering at us while sitting atop the unfolding petals.
Yes, Linda, we need to be present in the moment… not living in the past (with its antiquated conclusions and unending labels). Perceiving without the past is seeing everything without separation between (and from) things.
Your photos of nature are awesome too! 😊
I love the last line. Very true.
Thanks, Astrid. So glad that you see it! 😊
I like your thought on each of us being a petal, Tom. Together, we can make a beautiful whole.
