Pretty much everybody is conditioned in myriads of different ways. It’s a big factor in why there is so much conflict in the world. Humans have different beliefs and ideas about how things should be done, and about what is best to do. All of our beliefs and ideas involve — and are the result of — time. These beliefs and ideas often result in conflict and friction. To go beyond this conflict without another method (in and “as” time) may involve negation and silence. Such silence is a wonderful negation (mentally) that does not involve time or methodology.
Most people, unfortunately, are conditioned to remain in time exclusively (in the mental sense). They habitually go from one set of symbolic sequences to another (unceasingly). It’s how they were educated (or miseducated) to be.
Great beauty and awareness exist beyond repetitive, sequential, mundane, symbolic mental patterns but most people are too afraid and conditioned to go beyond what they were programmed to be. And being afraid in such a way is just another extension of the stifling, dead conditioning.
Dwindling in Numbers … Photo by Thomas Peace c. 2022
My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...
Yes, Sara, awesome, you sure know your butterflies! π
I have a true color 3D hologram of a male and female monarch butterfly. It was given to me as a gift from Yves Gentet, the man who made it. (I used to buy his blank plates to make my own holograms.)
WOW, now this is a booyah moment: π€πΌπ€πΌ

Oh my dear Tom, you nailed this on the head my friend! π―π¨π It’s hard to add to that!
Thanks so much, Kym! π I am so glad that you are looking deeply into the writings and not just superficially enjoying the photographs as so many do.
LMBO Tom! π€£ I know just what you mean my friend. The lights are on and no one’s home! Missed the whole boat!!! They probably skimmed and didn’t read. π€ Enjoy the rest of your week!
Awww, thanks Ana. My site is http://www.kymgmoore.com. It’s under my “About the Author” tab, but I think if you click on this address, it should take you right to it! Thanks again for the inquiry! Cheers! π€
β too afraid and conditioned to go beyond what they were programmed to be.
Partly true, but I think most peoples senses are overwhelmed with the majority dogmas and donβt know where, or even if, they should look elsewhere.
Beautiful piece Mr. Peace!
Thanks, Jim! π Yes, but being overwhelmed with (and by) the majority dogmas is conditioning; it’s not something somehow separate from it. Not looking elsewhere is the conditioning caging their minds in (and “as”) limitation.
Yes, and it (i.e., beauty) is all around (if we just take the time to look at it in appreciation). π Also, there is a deep beauty that has nothing to do with time or acquisitive looking.
I agree completely. This: “And being afraid in such a way is just another extension of the stifling, dead conditioning.” Fear is an extremely powerful motivator.
Good to read, Sylvia! π Yes, so many of us are so used to fear that we hardly even realize that it’s there. Most have been indoctrinated to just be fragmentary thought/thinking, and going beyond that (at times) is not what even occurs to us as a safe and wonderful possibility.
Time is an illusion. Beliefs are programs and not set in concrete so to speak. My dad, with an Army issued GED taught me to question EVERYTHING and take all I read and hear with a grain of salt. Still doing that. Makes for a very interesting life.
Wow, your dad taught you very well, Marlene! So very wonderful that he taught you to question everything and that you are still doing that to this to this very day. That is magical and wonderful indeed! More kids should have fathers like that! π
Thank you, He wasn’t around a lot but I picked up some great pointers from him. It isn’t always formal education that makes you wise. It’s being open to learning new ideas.
We are boring if we remain static and don’t appreciate the beauty around us – the Monarch butterfly is gorgeous Tom. I got some shots of some yesterday at the Community Gardens at Heritage Park. There will still plenty of blooms to sip nectar from, so I needn’t have hurried to take the shot(s) as it was content to rest there a long time.
Yes it is Tom – at least all this warm weather brought out our beautiful winged friends. We are getting a dose of Fall weather Thursday, so watch for “flocks” of Monarchs on the move!
Wow hermosΓsima Tom!
Thank you, Marcela! π
Ah such a beauty, that butterfly… he’s a male!

I went looking for your site under your name but did not find it. What’s the name of the site itself? Maybe I can find it that way

Yes, the unalive are everywhere.
Hoping your weekend is blissful, Kym. π

I am always on the lookout for moments of beauty, Tom. Lovely Monarch butterfly photo.

“Being open,” yes! π

Always glad to realize that Monarchs are still around, Linda! π
Nature’s beauty is unending!

Very interesting blog Tom. The way you have used that insect as an image to actually use personification to describe a human is very astonishing
Much appreciated, Mthobisi! π
