The following short video explains how Quantum Mechanics is involved in the transition of a tadpole into a mature frog or toad. Such metamorphosis is simply amazing; a lot of what nature does is very spectacular. The video probably explains it much better than i could with written words, and the video is a clip from that excellent Curiosity Stream segment that i mentioned to everyone in my previous blog posting. It’s certainly worth a watch! (When you were an embryo early-on in the womb, you had a tail.)
In the quantum world, boundaries can be penetrated. More of that needs to take place in the human psychological realm as well. When boundaries are truly transcended… that is when real eternity and sacredness can be perceived. But most of us are stuck in limited psychological boundaries. Too many of us hide behind (learned and absorbed) walls of racism, behind learned walls of indifference toward the handicapped and less fortunate, and behind (and “as”) learned walls of a “me” somehow separate from “others.” Have you ever considered that the learned walls of separation may actually help constitute what your consciousness is… and that without these mental (mis)conceptions, the separate “me” or separate “I” would not exist? Apparently, illusion and being “duped” is common, and “most-people” just accept it wholeheartedly without question. Little wonder why the world is quickly being ruined by a particularly odd, obtuse bipedal species. Will we wake up and transform beyond what is causing so much havoc in the world? Our biological clocks are ticking and there may not be much time left.
Please note the remnant tadpole-like-sucking-lips at the central area of this toad’s mouth. 🙂 Please note the eyes that are still very fish-like. Many of us — with our biological clocks — evolved (over time) from fish (but i won’t be eating our pet tropical fish’s food any time soon).

That was very cool. I remember being fascinated by the evolution of tadpoles into frogs when I was in school. The video explains it so simply, when it is actually quite a laborious process. Nature is so wonderful!
Yes, Nature is wonderful and so very amazing! We need to be closer and much more environmentally considerate of nature; it’s a delicate, living thing!

The really amazing part of quantum mechanics is that it has been around for more than a hundred years – Neils Bohr – Einstein knew about it and couldn’t deal with it… For me watching a tadpole change into into a frog is such a miracle that it keeps me raising tadpoles – I don’t think quantum mechanics – but I know it’s behind so many phenomena… The video is a good introduction. Thanks Tom. Oh, love that TOAD! I am raising 5 toadpoles… and 6 peepers all together.

I have never had a pet but I sure have raised lots of tadpoles – this bunch (toads and frogs) race to the front of the bowl when I stand there looking at them. Don’t tell me that they aren’t curious! I bet your fish do this as well…
Yes,Sara, fish are more intelligent than people think… especially ones, for instance, in the Cichlid family. Some of them, when visitors come to our house, see them as “strangers” and hide somewhere in the aquarium. Some will rapidly and repeatedly open and close their mouths while staring at me… letting me know that they want to eat. The smart Cichlids live a long time in captivity… like 15 to 20 years. 🙂
That was interesting Tom. When I was a little nipper, I’d go to the Creek at the end of the street with my friends in the Spring and collect tadpoles in big pickle or jam jars. My horrified mother would say “put them back tomorrow – I don’t want them turning into frogs and hopping all over the house!” Mom was humorless about those tadpoles. We used to call them pollywogs- now maybe that was a Canadian term, not sure. Interesting on how the protein is absorbed back in the body which makes more sense than the theory I heard that the tadpole reaches around and nips off his tale. They were black or dark brown, then turn into a frog of various colors – it is more remarkable than most people would ponder over.
When i was in the 3rd grade, i took some swimming critters that i found in a pond to school for “show and tell.” The critters were a big hit with everyone as they wiggled around and swam in the water. They stayed in the classroom for a number of days… until they all turned into mosquitoes! Ha! Oops! 🙂
I recently talked to the people in Canada that i once stayed with for 6 months. They said that the people in Canada are horrified about what is going on in the U.S. They said that Canadians feel that Trump is turning the U.S. into a fascist country, a dictatorship.
They knew all about the suppression of votes and the concentration camps. They live in Ontario and, apparently, Lyme disease is now a very serious problem there now. The ticks exist in abundance here in Illinois also. I’m hesitant to go into the woods any more. Way too risky!

Ha ha – that bowl/jar of critters went out of the classroom in a real hurry! Back in early April, local teachers were asking parents if they could “adopt” classroom critters or aquariums until school resumed – I guess they thought school would resume more quickly than it will.
The Canadians are smart cookies aren’t they? Like you said before, they thank God they are not over here. Even their Prime Minister is reluctant to let the borders open to anything more than essential trucks transporting goods and nurses/doctors.
Lyme Disease is bad here, but not a serious level as of now. They’ve found a hawk that tested positive for West Nile Disease.
I’m not going anywhere that is dense either then My boss uses a non-Deet product called “All Terrain” for the mosquitoes and black flies in the Upper Penninsula that he swears by as the bugs are so horrid. I got a small spray bottle from Amazon just for out in the yard. It is here at REI too:
