No chicory here, but we have a close relative, the skeleton plant. The cage-like stamens are glorious, and when they’re covered in pollen, the can look like a glitter ball at a disco!
I know, I recently saw a bio movie about a gardner who only worked in wild plants and flowers. It was eye opening and made me want wild plants in a garden.
I have always liked chicory and even with our first hard freeze back in late September (yes, not a typo), the chickory were still going strong and still are.
Wow! Looks Amazing…
Chicory truly is amazing! 🙂
We had a very poor show of Chicory flowers this year.
It’s been flourishing here, fortunately! 🙂
Chicory is the most beautiful shade of blue that exists. Great photo.
Yes, i never tire of it! 🙂
Gorgeous image Tom 🙂

Neat, Linda! It is extremely common around here but always a welcome sight to see! 🙂
So vibrant, a powerful presence.
It’s very common here, Paul, but always as precious as jewels! 🙂
I love Chicory flowers. The blue is so unique and pure. Great photo!
They are common but way too underappreciated by many! 🙂
I do like chicory. Fine photo Tom!
That means a lot coming from you, Belinda! Thank you! 🙂
😊
Beautiful image, Tom.
Thanks, Laura. They are common wild plants but way undervalued. 🙂

Yes, Luda… wild plants are often too undervalued! 🙂

It’s as tough as it is beautiful! We could all learn a lesson from it! 🙂
Beautiful! It grows wild all along the west coast.
Woow is so beautiful, wonderful violet! 🙂
This is gorgeous! The colors are stunning, Tom!
