kind to nature
not so many fossil fuels
or be blind
and heartless fossil fools
plant trees grow flowers
nature a blessed event
or view the world through brainwashed lies
cover everything with dead cement

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...
Wow, very powerful last line. Love this.
Thank you, Gorman! π
What’s worse, cutting a Christmas tree or buying a plastic tree? Answer is C. We don’t need any of them. Love your post. How to stop the madness and destruction?
π People are not easily woken-up! Greed and commercialism are firmly in place. But we can try!
It’s really hard since the choices are so few. I get 6 oz of yogurt in a container that Lasts 1000 years. Pretty stupid
Yes! π We recycle our yogurt containers. However, a lot of towns don’t have that option.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to make everyone accountable for their actions and inaction. That especially includes those that want to concrete the world. Great poem.
Thanks, Francis! π The older we get, Francis, the more destruction, indifference, and callousness of man we see!
very sad, but true and I wish a lot of people would follow your good advices, Thomas. May the world change to the better next year. That’s only a hope, I’m not sure if it will happen. A very Happy New Year to you and yours, regards Mitza
Thanks much, Mitza! π Don’t hold your breath about the world changing… but we can only try (but you know how it is)…
One of your best. Thank you!
Much appreciated, Steph! π We especially need to go beyond our deep dependency on antiquated fossil fuels!
Excellent post and poetry.
Thank you, Ravenhawks! π
Wonderful post Tom!
Thanks, Belinda! π Keep snappin’!
It is painful and challenging, but there has been some progress.
Since Rachel Carson first stood up and said “Hey, did anyone else notice we’re trashing everything and the rivers are on fire?”, we’ve had some awakening.
At least there are now many people and organizations doing their best to save or reclaim parts of our planet.
Let us cleave to hope for the future, for without it, well…there’s little hope for the future!
Seek peace,
Paz

The raw truth! We each need to take the steps we can to build a greener society. No matter how significant it may seem, every little action counts; small steps taken by millions of people will lead to unbelievable change. After all, it is the small, and independently insignificant, actions of each business, corporation, and household that has left us in our current environmental situation – it is our responsibility to give to Mother Earth at least a fraction of what she has provided for us!
Nice blog, i love nature, u can also visit nature of my country on my blog π Visit my country, a lot of nature wonders, beautiful places π
