My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Pleased you liked my post as I would not have found yours otherwise and missed a treat.
Magnificent photos of the butterflies, I find them difficult.
The alcohol poem is a gem.
Thank you Thomas Peace,
Also like your surname. _/\_
Thanks much, Jack!
I wrote the alcohol poem after recently being with retired coworkers at a retirement party at a restaurant near where we worked. I am retired. I was sitting next to a retired RN. She was drinking some kind of fancy alcoholic beverage. The cook had dropped my pizza, because of being burned by it – that I had ordered – and the waiter came to apologize and tell me there would be a delay (as they were making another one). The RN said that it was nice of them to tell me what happened. Later, as people were in the middle of eating, they finally brought my pizza. The RN then asked why mine was so late. I said, “Because the chef burned himself on my original pizza and dropped it on the floor.” The RN said, “Oh, he did?… How terrible!”
