Mostly Existing in (and “as”) Ideas…

Mostly existing in (and “as”) ideas from moment to moment may be a form of disorder. Ideas are often necessary, but remaining in (and “as”) the realm of ideas (and constantly thinking) may not be living whatsoever. Ideas are virtual, symbolic representations about things; symbolic representations, per se, are not living… they are secondhand, cold, and figurative. True order is a living, dynamic thing. It is not second-hand and composed of mere mental tokens.

Most of us look with the known; we look through (and “as”) a conceptual, secondhand screen of images, concepts, and symbolic labels. This looking may not be seeing much at all. It may be what is entrapped in a very limited realm. There is a real beauty in looking without all that one has been taught. Such seeing is not adulterated. It is pristine and beyond what is crudely limited and fragmented. Innocence is to look warmly without the cold contamination of conflict and limitation that society eagerly instills in so many.

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.
