Four young people saw the elderly, willowy Lo Zu walking (as he often did with his trusty meandering cane). They asked him where he was going. Lo Zu replied, “I am going nowhere and I am coming from nowhere. A truly silent mind is of no place, so it is nowhere; being of nowhere it may, thus, be everywhere.” The sagacious Lo Zu — who had immense compassion for all living things — kept on walking, leaving the young students pondering. And though he left them, he was always with them.

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...
WHOA Tom, now this is an eyebrow raising moment. π€ The good thing about what Lo Zu said to the young people he encountered made them stop and “THINK!” Do we still do that? LOL π² Enjoy the rest of your day my friend, don’t think about it, just do it! π€£ππ
Well Tom, I think that Lo Zu gave them something independently to think about. I love your perspective my friend, which opens the door to independent thinking indeed! π€ππΌπ€¨
Gorgeous gorgeous colors on that tulip – you caught the mystery Tom…. I do think if we are truly present to the moment we are both everywhere and nowhere at once – amazing really.
The return of Lo Zu and a perfect tulip. Now that song will be an ear worm though I didn’t hear a single note. The last day of Holland’s Tulip Festival was cancelled because the heat made the usually-hardy tulips wilt and drop their petals.
Yes, it’s sad – that was a first for this big event. Global warming is pretty scary. Today we are in the 60s – 91 and severe weather because of it on Friday. The constant range of temps in a 24-hour time period blows my mind.
Live the color
Thank you, Sherry! π€©

Thank you much, Kym! Most adults try to make young students “think certain things”; they teach them what to think. They don’t teach them independence, questioning, and how to intelligently think for themselves. πππ€©

Yes, independent thinking. And the best independence goes beyond thought/thinking. π€©π
So wise, Lo Zu. Thank you, Tom.
Thanks much, Jazz! So glad that you are appreciative of Lo Zu! ππ

Yes, perhaps everywhere and nowhere! π

Wow, Linda, that’s what global warming does to living things. Pretty soon, tulips and butterflies will only be in museums! π
