In my birdhouse

we take shelter from the rain

In my birdhouse

we sleep well,without pain

In my birdhouse

we are safe from violent wind

In my birdhouse

we are born,we come in

[Note:  Birdhouses at my sister-in-law’s (Mary’s) and brother-in-law’s (Gary’s) place.  They were constructed, homemade, by Gary…. painted by Mary.]

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy. Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...

  1. Beautiful!

“Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young – a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God. – Ps 84:3

  2. Thanks, everyone! Mary, my sister-in-law, said that the birdhouses are not yet occupied; they were just recently put up… and it takes the birds quite a long time to trust using them as nesting places. She also said that in one smaller, older bird house… tree frogs were living within it… not birds!
