My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

a sweet flower
to begin my day 🙂
Good! 🙂 They are rather different!
Thank you for letting us know that Marla is doing better. Pray for her. Beautiful photo and words, Tom.
Thanks much, Amy! Though I don’t believe much in praying in the traditional sense, I am very appreciative of your thoughts.
I am glad to know Marla is doing better sorry to hear about the complications. Great picture.
Thanks, Sonya. Her gastrostomy tube has been dislodged by the arm brace pushing on it… and has been coming out; we have to keep pushing it back in and taping around it to try to secure it. On Wednesday we go the the gastroenterologist in Chicago to (finally) get that fixed.
That arm brace thing is a nightmare to have on. They are very hot and sleeping in this is not an easy thing to do. I ended up sleeping in a recliner for 2 months. I hope things look up for her soon she sounds like a very strong woman.
beauteous!
Thank you, CIndy!
I’m happy to hear that Marla is recovering after her grueling op. I hope she feels better soon.
And I love the word-play in your poem; really makes you think 🙂
Thanks, Sci! She’s been doing a lot better than expected. 🙂
Thanks re the poem.
I’m still praying for the both of you… and I’m glad to know Marla is doing a little better.
As I said for Amy, I’m appreciative regarding the prayer, even though I don’t subscribe to praying (in the traditional sense). Marla is really doing great with recovery… which is awesome! 🙂
that is very good news to hear
