You can choose your friends but you can’t choose your reality. Either face reality as it really is or adhere to something false that will render you blind in the long run. That is the gist of it! (Facing reality as it really is involves looking without the accumulated past… involves not looking with what you were “taught.” Very few are willing or able to do that. To face reality as it really is involves there being no fear, no desire according to someone’s system and promises… involves looking very scientifically, but without hoarded conclusions and beliefs. Most feel naked and afraid without being clothed in accumulated beliefs, practices, methodologies, and conclusions.)

My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and insights, Tom! Beautiful bird capture. 🙂
Gorgeous, I wish this was my photo because I’d love to paint this bird’s feathers!
Like Amy said 🙂 Well written and well captured 🙂
Such a cute little bird. Great capture and words.
Thanks very much everyone! Much appreciated! It’s been a long day! Took my wife to the hospital for botox shots in her neck for dystonia, and took Gabby, our dog, to the vet for ear infections (in both ears).
