My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...
from your lips in God’s ear, Thomas, regards Mitza
🙂 Thanks, Mitza! I’ve been thinking about our environment every day lately.
Maybe that our thoughts met somewhere in the universe. 😦
Lovely colour 🙂
Sometimes what is wild is as good or even better than domestic! (If you stay out in nature enough, you’ll no longer be domestic!) 🙂
amen
and such a gorgeous photo – the color and shadows – heavenly
I’ve been rather appreciative of plants lately (except for poison ivy, which I managed to get again this spring even though none of it is actively growing yet)! I have even been looking at my aquarium plants a lot, sometimes as much as I look at the fish! 🙂
Those stamens are beautiful!
They are very similar in shape to dandelion flower stamens, which makes me think that they are related somehow.
Could be. I know very little about flowers, apart from roses and lilies and dahlias maybe. 🙂
What equipment do you use. if you don’t mind me asking. I use the standard 18-55 on my Nikon D3300 and am thinking of buying a macro lens or maybe those attachments from Polaroid. Any suggestions/personal experiences?
Agree, Tom! Love this photo. 🙂
