My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped.
I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.

brilliant photo thomas … we need to be explorers don’t we? … using our senses and not thinking …
It’s good to investigate (to question everything) and to explore and use thinking often (not exclusively) with precision and keen awareness. However, the truly unknown (i.e., the truly sacred) can never be found via a blueprint or via a concrete system. No dead system — and all (man-made) fabricated systems are inherently stagnant and rather dead — creates the living thing.
Is saying to go beyond fabricated systems just another system? Probably not! 😉
Regarding using the senses: It is prudent to use the senses as a whole (not separately). Many of us focus on one or two of the senses and ignore the rest. To merely cling to the senses, constantly (habitually) developing reactions from them… is what many people do. You actually are the reactions derived from the senses, from experience. To merely rush from one experience to another may develop over-dependence and create a slavish mind. To perceive with sensitivity may not involve mere reactions (and, in that state) the mind does not become overly dependent on sensations (and a different state of mind can occur). To avoid sensation is rather childish and actually is an “unalive” system or methodology (which can deaden the mind). Many “unalive” systems tend to deaden the mind of man.
Normally I don’t read article on blogs, but I would like to say
that this write-up very compelled me to check
out and do so! Your writing taste has been surprised me.
Thanks, quite great article.
