My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy. Stay mindful, understanding, and caring!...

  1. your little poem about knocking out your teeth reminded me of a true story…about 15 years ago in Cambodia, Seng Te, then 5 lost a tooth while I was there. I put a Riel (.25cents) under his pillow and told him it was from the tooth fairy, a new concept in war ravaged Cambodia. He started to push on his remaining teeth. “Chope, Stop,” I said. We asked him what he was doing and he replied, “pulling my teeth so that the tooth fairy will come again and bring me more money.” My only strategy was to tell him that she only brought teeth that fell out by themselves.
